As promised, I'm back with an outfit post! Martin (hubs) and I took these pictures a few days ago. I'm just in love with this little spot! I adore our neighborhood; we are surrounded by trees, ocean, trains, and quaint little shops. I can't wait to take you guys on a few scenic tours of our area this summer. Hubs and I love going on day trips. Let the summer fun begin!!

This gorgeous skirt is a newly purchased modcloth item and I love, love it! It's absolutely perfect for spring/summer. The tie-dye is a nice departure from my usual go-to floral pattern and it has the sweetest gathered detail around the waist. I paired the skirt with my new modcloth belt and otherwise kept the outfit classic with some simple black pumps.

As for other news? I just went to my third blogger meet up and had an amazing time! Our group is quickly growing and I absolutely love hanging out with these amazing girls. Expect to see lots of pictures shortly!! Alright, wishing you guys a wonderful week! xx veronika

Sometimes I just love a great home day! Hubs and I spent the day getting ready for his birthday, making loads of yummy food, and running a wee bit of errands. I absolutely love birthdays or any celebration for that matter! I adore being surrounded by great friends, family, and eating fabulous food. I think I might love food almost as much as I love fashion!! Side note: I may or may not be eating leftover birthday cake as I write this post...

Haha, moving along. I was thrilled to wear my new modcloth blouse. It has the sweetest little peter pan collar and I'm absolutely smitten! I love adding gorgeous blouses to my wardrobe; it's a great way to dress up jeans or add a romantic/girly vibe to your pencil skirt. And I can't wait to re-style my new BFF (Blouse Friend Forever) oh so soon!

Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I'm enjoying some quiet time with the hubs today and getting caught up on a wee bit of work. Translation? I'm half asleep on the couch. However, this is due to the fact that my life has been all work lately -no joke! Oh dear, the life of a business owner. Haha, apparently I did not think that one through!

Hubs and I did manage to go for a neighborhood tromp over the weekend. And I wore my beloved H&M skirt, with my oh so comfy wedges. Yup, my feet are smiling! Do you guys recognize the skirt? I love finding new ways to wear my clothes throughout the seasons!

A Historic Town & A Vintage Inspired Floral Dress...

Hello friends! What a gorgeous day. I spent the afternoon exploring an adorable historic town by our home. I found out via the internet that it's an old railway town that spans back to 1882; most of the original homes have been converted into charming museums, restaurants, or tea shops. As hubs and I walked around, we were surrounded by falling cherry blossoms and enjoyed a deliciously warm ocean breeze. Totally idyllic! 

I wore my newly purchased H&M dress. I adore scouring stores for vintage inspired floral patterns, and this season I've been scoring big time. I found this dress for a whopping $19 and I just knew this little charmer had to be mine. I am absolutely obsessed with big poufy dresses & skirts this season. Sometimes it's SO fun to be super girly -love it!

Presenting... my weekend uniform! I jokingly mentioned in Friday’s post that I wanted to style my pajamas, due to extreme fatigue. This is however a close second. Layers, stretchy skinnies, and long tunics (or dresses) are my fave go-to look, for when I have comfort on my mind.

I’m also still managing to work the layers... this is due to the fact that Vancouver is currently having weather commitment issues. But I’m not complaining. I’m a layers girl through and through, so I will hold on to my tights for as long as I can. AND in other over-the-weekend news? I indulged in a HUGE ModCloth shopping spree, ate yummy Chinese food, and forgot to exercise. Although, with swimsuit weather just around the corner, I need to get on it!!

A Whirlwind Week & A Newly Thrifted Skirt!

Hello friends! It’s been one of those crazy whirlwind weeks. I officially worked way too many hours -wow!! Upside? I got through it. I plan to re-charge tonight with a delicious dinner, bubble bath, and a glass of wine.

Ok, let’s talk clothes shall we?! I was beyond thrilled to find this Betsey Johnson skirt at a local thrift store. I was immediately smitten with the fit & pattern and I knew she had to be mine. Oh, and the best part? The skirt was only $5!! Yes, I’m doing a little dance right now. I can’t wait to pair my new skirt with bright hues for spring and play around with some more pattern mixing -of course!

Hello lovelies, look at that weather! Before you get “weather envy,” please note that it has actually been raining all week. We had one great weather day, which caused me to run outside like a blogging maniac, with camera and husband in tow! Yay for patient boys.

I’m absolutely in love with this location. Isn’t it the cutest? I adore moss covered trees, pillowy grass, and blue skies. Total magic. I’m also smitten with easy summer dresses. Anyone else with me? I might be guilty of what I like to call "no brainer dressing." Example? Well, this outfit went a little something like this... Grab dress. Put on shoes. Walk out door. Sweetness!!

Dreaming of Summer & Afternoon Picnics...

Another beautiful day! Yay! I can hardly wait for sunny days to become a regular thing. I’m excited to be back in our pool, running around with my camera, and enjoying picnics with the hubs. Total summer bliss! Hubs and I spent the afternoon scouring adorable little shops and picking up new accessories for our condo. So fun.

As for the outfit? I was thrilled to receive this gorgeous skirt from Alainn Bella for review. I absolutely love it! The skirt is lined with a cotton blend lining which is extremely soft and fabulously comfortable. I was also thrilled because it's the perfect length. I’m 5’ 9” and always happy to find skirts that leave me feeling appropriately covered. It’s such a lovely wardrobe staple. I can’t wait to remix it again!

City Eats & A Blogger Meet-up... Part Two

It’s official, I love doing blogger meet ups! I was so excited that the gals wanted to do a follow up to our first. I was also thrilled to know that we were adding a new face to the group, the gorgeous Alicia of “Alicia Fashionsita.” I’m a devoted reader of her blog and I was so ecstatic to meet her. In addition to Alicia, I met up with the original three lovelies... Alexandra of “To Vouge or Bust,” Cee of “Coco & Vera,” and last but not least, Lynn of “Hearted Girl.”

We met up last weekend at the funky Chill Winston in Gastown, where we enjoyed fabulous vegetarian appetizers along with some equally yummy wine. Our conversations flowed freely as we chatted about blogging, relationships, fashion, and our beautiful city. It’s amazing to think that we have become such quick friends.

After lunch, we headed out into the streets of Gastown and did what we do best: wave our cameras, laugh, pose, and take some snaps. My husband came down to meet us and patiently took group shots with each girl's camera. Can you say sweetheart?! Needless to say, there will be a part three and I’m already counting down the days... xx veronika
