{SCARF & JACKET: H&M, DRESS: DYNAMITE, JEGGINGS: CITIZEN OF HUMANITY, SHOES: JOE FRESH}
Presenting... my weekend uniform! I jokingly mentioned in Friday’s post that I wanted to style my pajamas, due to extreme fatigue. This is however a close second. Layers, stretchy skinnies, and long tunics (or dresses) are my fave go-to look, for when I have comfort on my mind.
I’m also still managing to work the layers... this is due to the fact that Vancouver is currently having weather commitment issues. But I’m not complaining. I’m a layers girl through and through, so I will hold on to my tights for as long as I can. AND in other over-the-weekend news? I indulged in a HUGE ModCloth shopping spree, ate yummy Chinese food, and forgot to exercise. Although, with swimsuit weather just around the corner, I need to get on it!!
And sending bloggy hugs to the lovely Alexandra of “To Vogue or Bust” for featuring me in her recent post, “Hometown Glory.” And a BIG thank you to "24 Blogazine" for featuring me alongside some of my fave Vancouver fashion bloggers in their "BFF gallery!" xx veronika
The weather over here is stupidly non-committal as well. We had a few days of bliss, and now it's back to cloudy and rainy. It's just teasing us.. Anyhow, love your jacket :) Especially the girly shoulders. No matter how comfortable the rest of your outfit is, I think it definitely dresses it up.
ReplyDeleteNice Post! Glad I found this blog!

ReplyDeleteYour jacket is so cute with those puffed sleeves. I don't want to speak too soon, but I think I might be getting the hang of H&M. Before I would visit once in awhile and never find any of the cute things I saw bloggers wearing...now I realize the secret is stalk that store 3x a week and multiple locations!
ReplyDeletebtw-you really make me want to get bangs :)

ReplyDeleteI really like the leather jacket you are wearing! I like how the sleeves kind of puff out a little at the shoulders...it gives it a girly yet edgy touch.
ReplyDeleteThe layers look great. I like the dress and jeggings combo.
ReplyDeletethe jacket is great!i love the feminine details!you look very beautiful!!
ReplyDeletehttp://sienastyle.blogspot.com/
As much as I love my winter clothes, and yours- the leather jacket! The tunic, in the perfect lavender-gray shade! Those obscenely comfortable-looking booties! I die :)- I am getting just a little tired of all these gray days. The temperature doesn't have to go up. I don't mind. Just a little sun, that's all I ask. But, sadly, it's not to be :( Thanks so much for your email, darling, it was really helpful. Hope you're having a wonderful day and I'll see you in just a few short weeks!
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
My dear...first things first...congrats on your features!!!!! yea! :)
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I totally relate to your leggings comment...I almost feel "illegal" each time I wear leggings cause they are so comfortable {def. right up there with sweats} yet when styled with a tunic, they look so great and give the outfit a pulled together feel :)
Love your outfit and can't wait to see what your ModCloth shopping spree included :)
xx Cat brideblu
Love tha tleather jacket, it's got so much edge.

ReplyDeleteIt's just finally starting to become layering weather here in Sydney and I am so excited! I'm planning a girl's night out this week and all I can think about is which tights I should wear, advice? Ps love these photos, as always. Xx
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't know you were a Vancouver gal! Hubby & I are trying to relocate to Pacific Northwest next year, depending on where I get into grad school! I really admire your ability to layer, perfect amount of girliness meets tough with the jacket.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being featured on To Vogue or Bust!
ReplyDeleteI love how you give the remix options, great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has had a hard time committing to spring here too. But you've done a great job of looking springy, but still warm--I love that pretty printed scarf! I can't wait to see your ModCloth buys!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit V! You look amazing in the last pic! xo
ReplyDeleteI think you do a bangin' job at creating outfits. There's so much style going on here!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so cold lately, like the layers.....congrats on your features!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and cozy outfit, gotta love mixing the comfiest clothes into a stylish outfit! It would be nice if Vancouver could decide what season we were in... but until then I think I'm on the layers side too! xx
ReplyDeleteWow... super cool leather jacket (love the shoulders!)
ReplyDeleteToronto has also been quite temperamental with the weather lately!
Gusssygirl xx

So cute and comfortable. Perfect for a shopping spree and eating chinese ;) Jealous, I have been craving chinese food for a while now. Might be lunch tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of neutrals and textures! I'm a layers girl, too, so while I'm mostly dreading the change of weather in my (very) near future, I think I'll be happy to wear layers again.
ReplyDeleteSantina

I really like the looks of this outfit... so comfy, yet fashionable with the funky boots.

I love how you do layers, it's really inspiring to me as I am majorly challenged in that area! Love the shorter jacket with the puffy sleeves, it's the perfect feminine touch :)
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think we might not get a bikini season in Québec city this year (people were in their winter cotas today...) so I am eating tons of Chinese food too. And my biggest exercise of the week was cleaning. Sheesh.
I hope you have a lovely week!

Well, I have to say that you handle a return to colder temperatures much better than I do...these past few days, I have been back to my basic jeans and long sleeve shirt combination that I was trying to move away from, unfortunately. But this is great inspiration, and if you do have to start layering again after a glimpse of warm days, I think this is the way to do it - I am taking notes!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I just received my very first blog award last week, and decided to pass it on to you. It's the One Lovely Blog award and I think your blog is exactly that and much more. There are more details in the latest post on my blog, if you want to check it out :)
I love all the different ways you've been remixing that dress. It is so cute! And you are officially the inspiration behind me actually wearing my leather jacket.

ReplyDeletewhat a good look for a lazy sunday lunch date. the layers work-up is a doozie and so loved; i really gotta search out some more sheer scarves. good tip! that leathery jacket is one of my fave items of yours. it really makes this whole look extra slick. but honestly what would it be without you in it?! you make everything you touch turn golden.
