A Whirlwind Week & A Newly Thrifted Skirt!

May 13, 2011

{JACKET: THRIFTED, BELT: MODCLOTH, SKIRT: BETSEY JOHNSON, TIGHTS: JOE FRESH, CLUTCH & SHOES H&M}

Hello friends! It’s been one of those crazy whirlwind weeks. I officially worked way too many hours -wow!! Upside? I got through it. I plan to re-charge tonight with a delicious dinner, bubble bath, and a glass of wine.

Ok, let’s talk clothes shall we?! I was beyond thrilled to find this Betsey Johnson skirt at a local thrift store. I was immediately smitten with the fit & pattern and I knew she had to be mine. Oh, and the best part? The skirt was only $5!! Yes, I’m doing a little dance right now. I can’t wait to pair my new skirt with bright hues for spring and play around with some more pattern mixing -of course!

Hey... did you guys know that I have naturally wavy hair? Yup I do and when life gets too busy it’s my go-to hairstyle. And a BIG thank goodness that blogger is back up! Did anyone else have blogging withdrawal? Happy Friday. xx veronika

  2. Okay...this might be the FIND.OF.THE.YEAR. a. it is Betsy Johnson {who is amazing both in her designs and her quirky personality!}, b. it is a rad, yet seemingly very versitle pattern, and c. it fits you like it was MADE just for you! {oh, and I could add a d. it was only $5!??!?!}.

    Happy Friday, pretty lady!

    Enjoy your relaxing wind-down evening {which sounds amazing btw!}

  47. I just love how you managed to make a chic skirt look vintage! Your skirt has a tighter form, with a black and white pattern, and so alone, it has a more "sleek" appearance. But with the way you styled it, you totally softened it and made it look vintage! Your belt is the perfect touch, I love how it complements the skirt.

    I hope you enjoyed your evening of relaxation- it sounds truly divine to unwind that way! And your hair looks so pretty- I love wavy hair. xx

  48. Lucky duck! That skirt is fabulous and like Claudia said you made it look vintage and unique (which I love!).
    I really love the wavy hair too... even though it's natural it doesn't look like bedhead (haha) just tousled and pretty :)

    The idea of a bubble bath sounds lovely too... although I think you should add in some dark chocolate too :) :)
