Over The Weekend Snaps...

A few snaps from our weekend. Ours was perfectly peaceful. We had Martin's parents over for mid afternoon fruit salad, chocolates and tea. The pets were sufficiently spoiled, of course! I also tackled the Christmas tree. Yay! And I popped in on my good friend Jenn. I'm super lucky to have my bestie live across the street from me. Seriously, the girl is not allowed to move. ;) And... if you follow me on twitter you may have read that I chopped my hair. Yup, sure did. I absolutely love the shorter length, it feels so much lighter and healthier... I might even go shorter next time (we'll see) + I still hope to dye it after Christmas. How was your weekend?!

Daily Life Bits

Hello! Sorry guys, things were a little quiet on the blog last week. I ended up taking a break and tried to stay off my computer too. It was sooo nice to find some downtime and refocus. I spent my time organizing our home, visiting with a few girlfriends, wrote out a schedule for the blog (so helpful) and cooked up amazingly delicious vegetarian meals and healthy desserts; the perfect way to treat myself + decompress. And, the pets got a whole lot of extra love & attention too. Lastly, happy belated turkey to my US readers - hope you enjoyed a wonderful day full of food, family & fun! ;)

Hello, friends! Hope your week is off to a great start. I've managed to sneak away from the computer, as well as work for the past few days. Yay, it's been fantastic! I've spent my time baking up a chocolate chip cookie storm, visiting with friends, playing with adorable babies (aww!)... and happy to find a little bit of quiet time to decompress. Plus, after insane amounts of rain, the sun is back and I'm absolutely making the most of that too!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Ah, long weekends! We just enjoyed Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend + both Martin & I had four days off. Oh bliss. Is there anything better than time spent with your loved ones and getting to eat ridiculous amounts of pumpkin pie?! Nope, I think not. We also enjoyed some of the warmest fall weather (amazing!), strolled through the village, stopped for some Sunday coffee and ended it all off with a nap. A perfect long weekend in my books! ;)
Mmm, that muffin was so good. Haha, I really can't stop thinking about it! Oh, and many of you have asked what kind of breed our dog is... he's a poodle & American Eskimo cross, and seriously the sweetest. Quiet Days Of Fall

Fall seems like the perfect time to slow life down. I've been spending mine making delicious soups & dreaming up cookie recipes, as well as ending my work days off with the most gorgeous walks. I love seeing all of the colours, feeling that crisp air, and seeing the sun set over the ocean. Pretty great! Fall is also my favourite time to reflect and start new projects. So far, I've been working on a new jewelry collection and a re-brand of my jewelry shop. Yay, can't wait to share! I'm also tackling our bedroom and painting a striped feature wall. So fun, right?! Hope you're enjoying a beautiful fall day, friends!

Weekend Snaps + Glorious Sunshine

We love getting out & visiting Martin's parents on the weekend; they're only 5 minutes away, and we feel pretty lucky to have them so close. We spent a part of our Sunday relaxing on their deck, BBQ'd and enjoyed the most glorious sunshine. I wore my newly purchased Madewell cardy and can't wait to style it up on the blog. As for today?! I'm determined to get a handle on my in-box... geez, it's scary over there!! ;) Hope your Monday is a good one, friends!

Weekend Snaps + A Birthday

On Sunday, we headed out to visit our dear friends Clint & Erin for their little one's first birthday. Aw! We had such a great time visiting with everyone and relaxing in the sunshine. It was the perfect way to spend a summer day. I had tons of fun walking around & taking photos - it's something I hope to do more of on the blog & in my day-to-day life. Plus, I love being able to look back at these sweet little moments. How was your weekend, friends?! ♥
