Hello friends. How was everyone's weekend? Hubs and I were on Bowen Island enjoying a few blissful days with our dear friends. It's absolutely gorgeous there and I could have stayed forever!! We loaded up on yummy organic island food, spent much of our time sitting forest-side, and my personal fave?! Drinking red wine down by the ocean and listening to waves crash. Ah, hello bliss!

Meet my new favourite outfit. I've kind of been wearing it non-stop. Ruffles. Poufy floral print skirts. Leopard print accessories. Yes, these are all sure to be my new fall staples. I've been loving the look of floral & animal prints paired together lately; it's like they were made for one another. On a side note, I'm also dreaming of adding this gorgeous lauren elan bracelet to my fall must-have list. Gorgeous, right?! Enjoy your day guys. xo veronika

Happy Anniversary To My Hubby!!

Dear Hub, I'm so ecstatic to be celebrating our 13 years together and our six years of marriage this week. Wow, I can't believe how quickly it's all managed to fly by. I absolutely adore our life together! In our six years of marriage we have pursued our career goals, purchased our little dream condo, filled it with cuddly pets, and oodles & oodles of love. I can't wait to fill it with sweet little babies next!! You've proven to be an amazing husband; I love that you always cheer me on, no matter what it is that I might decide to tackle, but most of all I love that you are my best friend!

We finally had a few blissfully hot days, and I couldn't have been more thrilled. Gorgeous sunshine, my super sweet hubby behind the camera, and a new maxi dress; really, what more could a girl ask for?! It was a perfect day, and I seriously don't want summer to end.

Hello, new favourite dress! I was so thrilled to receive this super gorgeous maxi from the good folks at Frock Candy. I've been wearing it non-stop; the fit is fantastic and it's SO comfortable. I'm absolutely taken with the print as it's such a lovely refresher from my usual go-to floral. Yay for trying new things!! Hello friends! Oh my goodness, for a moment I thought that tomorrow was Friday. Haha, wishful thinking I suppose. But apparently I have weekend brain -already! We (hubs & I) are off to enjoy a day trip this weekend. I can't wait to take a ton of photos, eat delicious food, and peek at some fabulous flea markets & antique stores. I absolutely love exploring new places!

And speaking of love?! I was SO thrilled with how this outfit turned out. I instantly knew that these two patterns would be so fun to mix together. I'm such a sucker for pattern mixing ...since I don't wear a lot of jewelry this is how I like to make a statement. And I dug out my fave (but forgotten) dark red patent leather ballet slippers to complete the look!

Scenes From: A Seaside Market

A few weeks back, husband & I decided to pack in our work day and head out for a mid-day adventure. It was exactly what this over-worked gal (that be me) needed! We spent the afternoon lying in the grass (sea-side), chatting about life, taking sweet photos, and all the while we had our pooch happily sleeping next to us! Apparently he adores fun little adventures too. Ah, what a blissful afternoon!
We spent a bit of our time walking around the market, but not nearly as much as we would have liked; we were in a decidedly lazy mood! Our excursions have been far & few this summer; however, with hubby off work for the next three weeks, we certainly plan to make up for it! Historic towns, quaint little shops, ice cream parlors, here we come -eek, I seriously can’t wait. Don't you guys just adore summer?!
After starring at my closet for far too long, I decided on this simple look. My favourite downtime outfit is a loose tank, long cardy, skinnies, and a fun little hat! As much as I love fashion and getting all glammed up, I also appreciate outfits that allow for fun & spontaneity because I'm the kind of gal who likes to roll around in the grass and splash about in ocean waves.

Hello everyone! Meet my latest dress crush!! It's the last of my temporarily swapped items. Thank goodness we are doing another swap this Sunday -yay! This amazing dress belongs to the beautiful Cee of Coco & Vera, and I really wish that I didn't have to return it. But of course I will, because I'm a good bloggy friend like that.

Judging by the dress, you would think that I spent my day drinking cocktails and basking in the sun. But sadly, no! I spent my day working in this fabulous dress and then ran outside with my remote to snap these pictures. And they say blogging is glamorous?!

I was absolutely thrilled to receive & style this adorable top from the kind folks at Threadcase. I'm just smitten with the sweet little bows, and not to mention I have such a weakness for sheer, a-line cami's. They never disappoint and transition beautifully in my wardrobe. I love wearing them with pants, vintage flare jeans, or a fave skirt -SO adorable!

Did everyone have a great weekend? We just had a long weekend here in BC, coupled with fabulously hot weather (hence the shorts). I seriously don't want it to end! Hubs and I spent most of our weekend enjoying the great & gorgeous outdoors, we visited with friends, and hubs even surprised me with fresh lobster -delicious! I love when I don't have to cook!!
