Is there anything more delicious than late evening sun?! Sigh, I've been loving it! So with the new season officially here (I can hardly believe it!), I've been spending time re-organizing my closet: pulling out sweaters, organizing my tights, belts, hats and packing away all my summer dresses. Also, I went a little crazy this year and bought a brand new "basics" wardrobe - it feels beyond great... I'll be sure to share a little bit more about that later this week.
And speaking of closets?! I'm really hoping to buy less this season (hold me to it guys) and spend a little more time getting creative with what I own. Prepare yourselves for a lot more re-mixes. I have to admit, sometimes I feel a little guilty wearing the same piece on the blog, but then I think... hey, that's life, and so much more realistic. Am I right?! I'm also hoping to start purchasing more high quality pieces and less disposable fashion. I'm excited for that!
I swear taking photos during golden hour has got to be my new favourite. We're hoping to head out later this week to an abandoned heritage area/field and take more outfit photos. I can't wait. I just might have to pull out my favourite fall tights for that, and fingers crossed, we stop off for some ice-cream too - summer may be over but my longing for ice-cream is safely intact! ;)

OH Veronika, this is beautiful, you look stunning. I am so with you on the whole buying less thing this season. I have a ton of sweaters.. i really dont need any more. but feel the need to buy more due to blogging.. silly really as in real life i only need so many! i will be doing a whole lot more remixing. Problem is with me, i love the thrill of shopping and new pieces, haha! Anyway sorry to babble on! cant wait to see your winter style this year hun! This skirt is totally divine.. the perfect colour and the lipstick>?! Beautiful!!xx
ReplyDeletei always adore mustard on you.
ReplyDeleteand i'm doing the same thing. trying to only buy higher quality fabrics and pieces!!
p.s. i love it when you where mustard :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and I love how you combine all the colors. The top goes really nice with the mustard skirt. I think printed tops are a great staple for remixing.

You look so pretty and girly! Love all the colors in this outfit :)
ReplyDeletehttp://lartoffashion.blogspot.com
These photos are just stunning. Love the light and the location, but am mostly loving that perfect autumn skirt!
ReplyDeleteI might share your clothes phylosophy! I thought about mixing up the existing items more into interesting and unusual looks, rather than buying a new item!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, but you have to wear things more than once or it's just a waste! I'm all about working with what you have! Great outfit! Love this skirt!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, and gorgeous outfit! It reminded me that I need to put "yellow skirt" on my list of fall items to purchase.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about wanting to work from your closet more; I was thinking this morning that I have so many garments I need to either work with, or clear out of my closet! Perhaps the rule "one in, one out" would be a good one (for me, anyway!) to follow.
Also, your hair is so gorgeous.
V these pictures are beautiful and you look stunning! I love this blouse paired with the mustard skirt..the whole look is flawless! Yay for remixing..cant wait to see what you do with your outfits!!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing dear! Gorgeous look!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you on Bloglovin! Hope you'll follow me back! <3
Your skin and that mustard color were made for each other.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, it is more realistic to wear clothes more then once so looking forward to seeing your remixes!

you are honestly gorgeous girl! I love taking photos around that time too.. the best! and cute outfit :)
ReplyDeleteiambornlippy.blogspot.com
I'm also trying to ease up on the shopping, especially with lower quality items, and get more creative with the pieces I haven't worn in a while. Its a challenge but I know my bank account will thank me!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love these photos and this outfit. Such great lighting!! That skirt is a perfect colour for fall and is beautiful with your floral blouse. I need to invest more in great pieces too
ReplyDeletexJennaD
You look so lovely! These pictures are too gorgeous. I'm loving the color of your skirt.

Haha, my ice cream longing is also still intact :) This is a gorgeous look--the colors look great in the beautiful light. I can't wait to see your new basics wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! I was just thinking about how I need to buy less and mix more. Sounds like a fun fall challenge, doesn't it? xoxo Patricia
ReplyDeleteYou. Look. Stunning! I love this outfit. I'll be in the same boat with you, switching my closet out for fall clothes, as soon as it decides to cool down here! Ugh, closet organizing is a joy! But worth it...

The lighting for these shots is pretty perfect - they look amazing. As does that skirt, which seems like a perfect fall piece.
ReplyDeleteCourtney ~ http://sartorialsidelines.com
I feel like I bought a whole new wardrobe the past few weeks! My favourite season to dress for will do that for me I guess haha Love this outfit! That skirt is such a perfect colour :)
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to buy basics lately too!
ReplyDeletework-it-blog.blogspot.com
I totally concur Veronika. I have been leaning more toward basics myself AND also trying to not buy anything new for a long time. Saving for my wedding really taught me to be creative and the honeymoon taught me how many clothes I have to come home to! I think it is totally more realistic for bloggers to remix. I love when they do that! I do remixes every Thursday. I love your pretty mustard skirt. Glad to see you are doing much better!
ReplyDeleteRemixes are definitely more realistic, and I like how real you are with us! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with Veronika, I'm sure it'll be inspiring
Haha, and even in winter, I'll eat ice cream. Man, it's just so good! We have a creamery nearby in our little town that makes the richest, creamiest ice cream ever...mmmm...
Anyyywaaaay, another lovely outfit! Haha, that mustard yellow skirt is perfect

what a lovely outfit :)

i've been trying with the whole remixing idea too because my closet tends to get super overwhelming sometimes. Sometimes I open the doors and there's just so much going on in there that I don't know what to pull first. But every weekend I get that thrift store craving and it's so hard to not haul out like 5 pieces from the stores when they're just so cheap. First world problems, am I right? Haha. But mini rant aside, you look so lovely here! I love your skirt and that pop of red lipstick really makes this perfect
ReplyDelete"I have to admit, sometimes I feel a little guilty wearing the same piece on the blog, but then I think... hey, that's life, and so much more realistic. Am I right?!"
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I feel that way sometimes -- I think we all do -- so no need to feel guilty! And not only is it realistic but I think it's also helpful to show readers different ways to wear things. :) Looove the skirt, I definitely have to pick up some mustard yellow for myself this season!!
I love evening sun as well. It makes for the most beautiful lighting. Your pictures are gorgeous, as is your outfit. Love your skirt! Looks amazing on you.
ReplyDeletehttp://shannonhearts.blogspot.com/
lovely, that skirt is way to pretty
ReplyDeleteThat skirt! I am falling more in love with that shade of yellow everyday. Gorgeous outfit!

I love remixes so I am really looking forward to seeing how you style your closet this season :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. It's so perfect! Mustard is my new favorite fall staple. On your mention of golden hour, I always love how pictures turn out when taken during that time. On another note, I remix things a lot and I too feel bad that I sometimes post an outfit that has repeated pieces but like you said it's more realistic.

You look stunning, girl! Red lipstick is just gorgeous on you. Love that mustard skirt too, such a pretty color for fall!
ReplyDeleteYour lipstick makes this whole outfit! You look seriously so so so beautiful!
ReplyDelete-Lindsey
Your determination is clearly inspiring! I vow to do the same. Can't wait to see a whole lot more looks you'll pull off this autumn + winter ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to do the same thing in that I want to save money too! But it's soo difficult with all the pretty clothes that stores tend to come out with during this season. Besides that, all the new trends that are coming out, I kinda want to incorporate them with my style now.Oh well...I guess it doesn't hurt to indulge a little sometime.
ReplyDeletemustard is such a fun autumn color.... need to dig mine out!

I am fully in support of you wearing the same pieces over and over on the blog...it is more realistic to do so and very inspiring to us readers!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAnd golden hour is my favorite time to take photos as well ;)
What gorgeous light!!
ReplyDeletehey now, that's some kinda triple threat action going on veronika! the lighting, the outfit and YOU =
ReplyDeletegigantic LOVE!!! this mix is calibrated to some really slick, high voltage fash-flair. the sunlight practically glistens right off the screen and there's no shortage of swoons going on either. red lips rock! your remizes are fab, keep going lades, it's obviously something that so many girls can relate to.
ah, closet re-organizing is on the forefront for me too, need more hangers! i've got stacks upon stacks of fold-ups & they're getting too topply now. time to hang those babies up ;)
thanks for your comment lovely, i hope you 2 have a real getaway soon. more than that i pray for your wellness every day. no worries about the art show, we'll make some magic happen together soon...i know it! xo ♥
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Veronika. I really appreciated it! Sending love and hugs all the way back to ya from New Zealand. :)
ReplyDeleteThis outfit might be my new favourite of yours! I love the combination of colours and that blouse is too pretty.
It sounds like you and I are thinking along the same lines, fashion-wise :) Great minds, and all! And my goodness, that lipstick and skirt look just lovely on you!

ReplyDeleteLate evening sun is my favourite too, I love the warm tones that come out then! Loving this look, that skirt is stunning on you Veronika! And re-wear items to your heart's content, I actually prefer seeing other bloggers recycling items, so much more realistic!

These golden hour photos are amazing! I am also trying to focus on purchasing the Fall/Winter basics I so depserately need, and remixing my other pieces.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne
What Lola Wants
you are insanely gorgeous! I love these pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on spending a lot less on clothing this year, too... of course it might be easier for me because it's not so much self-inflicted as having absolutely no money... but good luck to the both of us, right?
bedroomocean.blogspot.com
I have been reorganzing my closet as well, and it made me realize that I clearly have a clothing addiction! :S I got rid of 30% of my closet (whew!) so maybe that can make some room for new basics around my wardrobe as well :). you look absolutely beautiful as always!
ReplyDeleteahh this magical golden hour that everyone speaks off when doing blogging pictures. I would love to do this as well. Cute pictures!

YES mustard and red lips - favourite combo! Beautiful shots xo
ReplyDeletei am a firm believer in buying higher end less disposable pieces! it's always a good investment. love how you wore this mustard skirt today and in the newer post. i think that thing was made for you!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are stunning and so are you! You are just so beautiful and radiant and you work that skirt, girl! You're smart to want to cut back on buying. I've been doing that so far this fall too, trying to stop spending money so spontaneously on shit I don't want that much. I personally love love love remixed outfits and seeing how people style the same piece. It's refreshing to know people are like me and wear the same thing over and over again and then it's inspiring to see how people remix!
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally a fan of yellow, but I love the way you've styled this look! The shirt is fantastic!

There really is nothing better than photos taken during the golden hour. I just love late summer snaps and this is the perfect ensemble to go along with the beautiful, golden light; the warm tones suit you just beautifully and, well, you know how much I love that mustard skirt no matter what you pair it with! Good luck on your remixing mission - I will definitely be right there with you :)

I just spent the afternoon pulling out and organizing my Fall clothes too... so much fun, but I agree - I am going to try and get more re-mixing accomplished, and I can't wait to see your mixes as well!
