Hello. It feels so great to be back & writing a post. Did you notice my lack of outfits last week-ish?! I ended up getting so sick with the flu and was in bed for almost a week. Not fun. But, I've got lots of posts planned for this week, so watch out. ;) These photos are from a few weeks back when Martin & I visited historic Fort Langley (an old fur trading town) and as you can see, it's gorgeous there. I especially loved taking photos of the scenery, it was so pretty & idyllic!
Fort Langley is definitley one of my favourite towns to visit; all of the shops and restaurants have a real nostalgia to them. I love that. In fact, one of my favourite moments was sitting at a little retro inspired ice cream shop and watching the sunset. The shopping was pretty terrific too, we peeked at the antique mall and then walked over to the pub for a delicious dinner.
I'm excited to be planning several trips for this upcoming summer, and blogging about them - of course! I've had my head buried in my travel book... all week! Are you guys familiar with BC?! It's truly spectacular and if you'd like a glimpse into where the heck it is I live, pop over here: Destination, British Columbia. On that note, enjoy your day and I'll see you tomorrow for an outfit post!
Outfit Details:
Cardigan - Pink Martini
Cross Body Bag - Aldo
Ballet Flats - Aldo
It looks so charming. I've never been to BC, keep meaning to book a trip. :)

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you're on the mend, Veronika - a whole week with the flu is just miserable! It looks like you definitely had some fun before you got laid up in bed, though. I've never been to Fort Langley but it's on my wishlist of places to visit before you-know-what ;) I love all things cute and old-timey - your traintrack photos and those yellow-painted buildings have me swooning! As does your adorable Forever 21 skirt, I might add. Hope this week is starting off much better for you!

Go BC! I feel somewhat shameful to admit that I haven't actually explored much of the Province. *Hanging head* I'm looking forward to seeing your gorgeous self hit the adventure trail! xx Nat
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear that you are feeling better! I love your pretty pictures of the scenery, and can't believe that you are in tights and a chunky knit (adorable as usual), where as Nashville has already had many 90+ degree days! Yikes... sounds like a perfect time to visit BC (I WISH!)

ReplyDeleteWhich, by the way, I'm so jealous of! I'd love to just go on a roadtrip this summer, but it's probably not going to happen. Ah well, I'll just have to live the life of travel vicariously through you :b Haha

I just went to Fort Langley on a grey day a couple of weeks ago! We spent way too long in the antiques mall, and then found the cutest shop: Little White House. Did you go there? I found a sweet polkadot top which made the day trip worth it :)
ReplyDeleteAh that skirt is beyond adorable! And I don't know how I've never been to Fort Langley before...one thing I was talking about recently with my parents is that since I've moved out to TO, I'm so enthusiastic about exploring all its little nooks and crannies, whereas in Vancouver I just never bothered looking around in new neighbourhoods because I felt used to everything. Anyway, it made think of you and how you always did such an incredible job of getting out and finding these little gems of towns that I've always just glossed over when scanning a map. Long-winded story but the moral of the story is that I'm now trying to emulate you and Martin's weekend explorations here in TO! Hope you've been doing well love!!!

I always love your photos!

My hometown! The first thing I do when I visit home is stop at Wendel's this bookstore/coffee shop. It's amazing.
ReplyDeleteAaw, I didn't know you were from BC! :) I grew up in Penticton and live in Vancouver now....I love it sooo much, here! Fort Langley is lovely...I did a craft show there a few years ago, and hope to go back to antique again soon! My favorite are the gulf islands though - Mayne island has a cute little campsite and a great farmers market all through the summer. :) Love this province to bits!
ReplyDeleteOh man, this place looks so cute! I especially love the look of the little market. And btw, that bird print skirt is so cute!
