Spring Capsule Wardrobe: 10 Classic Staples for 2026

Mar 30, 2026

Back with a new post (clearly, I'm having a navy moment!) and so excited to share I’m now on ShopMy! You can add me to your circles via the website or app, or visit my ShopMy storefront via the "Shop" link in my top navigation bar. I’ll be adding things as I purchase them or discover those "must-have" items for your, and my, seasonal wardrobe. Speaking of seasons? We’re definitely in that weird "transition zone" here in BC. While we've had some lovely & sunny days (I even had coffee & Poppy time, our pup, in the front yard), we've also had a lot of rain and cold days still. So it's officially the season of layering for spring, aka, carrying three different weights of cardigans in my LL Bean tote at all times. Ha!

But even though it's still rainy and cold, that hasn't stopped your girl from dreaming of all the transitional spring outfits. Usually while huddled under a cozy blanket and on my third cup of tea! I’m mentally pairing my trench coats with loafers and plotting my escape from my parkas. Besides, the reality is that spring will be here before we know it, and I want my closet to be roaring to go! ;)

1. The Anjuli Nap Dress: I just bought this dress, and my gosh, it is worth every penny! The fit, the fabric quality and the smocking are like no other. My best investment, to date! For sizing reference? I'm a 37C bust and I went with a small. I'm normally a medium. But I wanted to wear the dress without a bra, and have the smocking cinch me in. It's perfect!

2. J.Crew School Boy Blazer: Hands down my favourite blazer style and cut. It's a classic that will honestly stay in your closet forever. I especially love it in navy; it’s the ultimate anchor for transitional spring outfits. You can drape it over your shoulders with your favourite dress for a dinner out, or pair it with any denim wash for a casual weekend look.

3. Kate Spade Tulip Tote: Just insert Cape Cod chips and a bottle of rosé. It's that time of year, where I'm in my ultimate Nantucket mood and this bag is the cutest spring / summer companion. It's a little "vintage" with a playful twist.

4. Sam Edelman Ellina Sandals: My strappy leather sandal obsession continues! These are absolute perfection for layering for spring (yes, even with a cute sock if you’re daring!) and they come in several gorgeous colourways.

5. The Cutest Graphic Tote: Just add to cart. A no brainer! It's the perfect "grab and go" bag for a historic town flower market run.

6. Fit & Flare Midi Dress: Navy is such a timeless choice, and now that I’m going back to brunette, it’s officially one of my favourite colours to wear. This dress is gorgeous, and the price point is incredible too!

7. Scallop Trim Babydoll Dress: Just add leather sandals, a straw tote and you're warm weather ready!

8. Tuckernuck Maria Dress: An investment piece for sure but utterly stunning. That fit, that pattern, I'm smitten!

9. Levi's Ribcage Straight Jeans: The jeans I'm always asked about - like, literally stopped on the street! The high-rise fit is so flattering, and I always feel amazing in them!

10. Chanel Ballet Flats: An instant go-to for any style, and any closet. Whether you're in your vintage, classic, or preppy era, Chanel ballet flats are the most perfect pop of luxury. An iconic staple that never goes out of style.
