Hellooo, friends. Feels so good to be back with an outfit post - and spring blossoms, no less! If you've been reading for a while... then you know I love my seasons and celebrate them with as much gusto as I can. After months of grey, seeing those soft pink petals against a crisp blue sky is the ultimate mood booster. And speaking of spring excitement? I also put together a 10 piece must-have list for your spring capsule wardrobe. Be sure to check it out - I've included so many cute things!
This past week (and most of March, for that matter) has been slowww and very chill. I’m currently transitioning off certain medications and supplements as I gear up to start a perimenopause pack. I've heard amazing things and can't wait to try it. We think a lot of my health issues have actually been stemming from the drop in hormones - it’s been a wild ride to say the least. With that said, I’ve been spending my mornings relaxing on my kitchen window bench, coffee in hand (we just bought a new Nespresso!), and trying to soak in all the "full bloom" energy before it blows away. But for now, it’s the most perfect backdrop for one of my favourite transitional looks: a classic herringbone skirt paired with light, spring layers. Ah, bliss!
And... if you're looking at my skirt and thinking "V, I need!" - she’s actually a vintage ModCloth find I scored recently online. But worry not, I’ve got you! This one is insanely adorable and has cute front flap pockets, and the most perfect 60's retro vibe which I love. For the base, Madewell is my fave for simple, well-cut tops; their boat neck tee or ribbed turtleneck would pair perfectly. Once it starts heating up a little more, I can't wait to reach for classic loafers - these Zappos loafers would be a dream with this look!
