When the rainy fall days hit, I'm all about wearing denim, cardy's and a great pair of boots. Mine are from wanted shoes and they fit like a dream - be sure to take a peek at their fall boots. So adorable! As for the rest of my outfit?! I went a little crazy with the pattern mixing but I love both of these together: abstract stripes & abstract polka dots. Seems like they were made for one another... a fun look for a day of dodging rain puddles and running errands.
For tomorrow, I'm planning a little date night for Martin & I. I'll be surprising him (unless he reads this post, haha) with a yummy dinner. I'm making yam & carrot fries, grilled fish, and for dessert I'll be baking apples in rice milk + dates. Mmmm, I can't wait. And, I have every intention to start sharing recipes with you guys. This week is the week. I swear!

I so know the feeling you're talking about, Veronika - just when you think you've got everything ready for rain, you run out of enough hands to balance! The Vancouver rain in the fall is still fresh in my mind :) But you're looking just lovely in spite of the wet weather; I just adore the bright red shade of your pretty blouse. Smooches!

This is SO adorable!! I can't wait to break in my Wanted boots. We've had lots of rain in Florida, too, but unfortunately no cool weather to speak of just yet.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you paired the floral blouse with the striped cardi! Saving this outfit for inspiration if Fall ever comes this way :)
I absolutely hate doing the crazy juggle with purse, cell phone, umbrella, etc.! And I love that cardigan - LOVE!

What a cute look, Veronika! I love the vibrant colour of your blouse and the striped cardie is a great layering piece. Also, it may be weird but I totally know where you took these photos! I live in Coquitlam and my dad's condo is right by that school. I took outfit photos there too!

Oh, in Ireland we get lots, I mean LOTS of rain and wind. So it's quite hard to wear a skirts or dresses, you can get lots of Marilin Monroe moments :) and freeze. So it's just great to wear jeans or pants, but I love those days when I can wear some cute skirts or dress. It's just feels like a holidays :)
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous in this casual and yet so feminine look.

Veronika, this is just genius! i had to giggle about the contemplation over the title of this post ;) hells ya our rain has been pummeling down. i breathed a slight sigh of relief walking out the door today forgetting my brolly but seeing a "no chance of showers" report on the iPhone. ha!
ReplyDeletei'm all for layering girl but i know what you're saying about wrestlemania with it all before walking out the door - no fun whatsoever. you're right!
glad you found a dry spot to shoot under. i love how you explore each completely unique and always stunning aspect of your style, super distinct yet attainable. it's why so many mixes get saved for my own personal future reference insp!! just the right amount of fluttery blouse creates a gauzy, textural composition with otherwise everyday denim. hello wanted shoes! great site filled with fab bargains. i get excited every time i visit and see your new posts appear. you're a GEM of a girl and a sensationally legit fashion megamixer!!
hope dinner is going amazingly, wishing for less puddle jumping this weekend! xo ♥
Aw this is a great outfit for a rainy fall day. The scenery looks wonderful to me! Fall hasn't quite hit here, sadly.
ReplyDeleteI really really love your boots and the adorable red top you're wearing. The prints work really nicely together.
I fell ya, girl! Yeasterdya it was the same hot rainy mess here too! And I didn't have my umbrella which made things even worse! I love rain...from the inside of my appartment. :)
