Hello, Monday! How was everyone's weekend?! Mine was a little more action packed than previously predicted, but still super relaxing. Saturday we met up with our friends in the city for extra yummy cocktails & dinner. And, Martin & I finally got around to getting all of our x-mas decorations down - did anyone else take as long as meee?! Jinx. I promised myself I would do it right after new year's, but then this thing called "life" happened!
I remember when I started blogging, I wore jeans a lot. Funnily enough, it's not something I do too often these days. I usually find skirts & tights a lot more comfy, but one of my fashion resolutions was to try and mix it up a bit more this year. I just bought this shirt and I think it might be the first button-up I've bought in years!! I used to wear them all the time when I worked as an administrative manager in the ole' corporate world. Goodness, my style used to be so different back then! Also, the colour & gingham pattern are getting me so excited for spring - straw fedora, floral a-line skirt, my cork wedges?! Yes please!!
As for the rest of this week?! I'm still in the trenches of sorting out my passport stuff for my trip to Austin, Texas, so hopefully it's a smooth experience. Fingers crossed! I've also started working on my store this week. I'll be hosting it through Goodsie, which I was so thrilled to find - it seems really streamlined & easy to use. Does anyone else have experience with it?! And if you're curious about my new store & what I'll be selling, it will be a small collection of clothes and my handmade jewelry! I'm having way too much fun putting it all together!! xo veronika

Oh my Veronika! There are so many things about this look that I am loving--the boots, the glasses, the bowler hat, the gingham and the sweater. I love it all and though I love to see you in skirts and dresses, this is a great way to break into your resolution. Beautiful look and I can't wait to see what goodies you have in your store! Enjoy your week dear!
ReplyDeleteI have been the same way about my jeans... dresses seem to be my weapon of choice these days. I am so in love with the bowler hat! Such a wonderful thrift find on your part and those Blowfish boots? Dream worthy!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shade of green! I understand your love for pretty dresses and tights, I'm the same way, but you do look very pretty in jeans too! There's just something very cute and delightful about your styling here! The hat and the glasses are adding a very whimsical feel, while the boots and jeans along the green brings it out more casually chic! Loving it a lot!

Eeeep!! Good luck with all the passport business!! I forgot that you need a passport now to come and go from the US to Canada. So weird but laws are laws I guess.

Same happened to me! I was pretty much always in jeans and the started falling for dresses and skirts! Love the little ginham peeking out! Enjoy Austin!

Lord-y, you are so gorgeous. I can't get over it! I loveee your bangs. How do you always make them look so perfect!? And I love seeing bloggers style jeans! We can't ALWAYS wear skirts/dresses, now can we!? I love that color of green. It's divine on you!
ReplyDeleteYou lok SO GOOD IN GREEN! Sensational.
ReplyDeleteYou'll often find me in shorter skirts and tights in the winter. It's just so much easier for my commute in the snow to wear boots and I hate tucking trousers into boots.
ReplyDeleteI adore this look. It's so sweet with the little hat. The green is so perfect on you, especially with that lip color.
Great shirt and sweater combination. Love the outfit!

Love the gingham top, the green is so fun
ReplyDeleteGirl in the Poodle Shoes
I love the fresh look of the jeans! While I'm always a fan of the dresses and skirts, it's refreshing to have a jeans look once and a while. This one looks so comfortable and those glasses are adorable! :)

Ah, the classic button down... It's an administrative manager's best friend :) I wear one to work at least once a week, although I try to find fun prints to mix it up and I just love the green gingham of yours. Paired with those oversized glasses and that absolutely perfect lip colour, this is a truly inspired look - and best of all, you made your jean look creative! Hope everything goes will with the passport application, usually it's not too hard, but getting to the passport office early in the morning to avoid lines can be a pain. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
You are just TOO beautiful, always! Your glasses and hat are too cute together too! :)
ReplyDeleteI host my store through Goodsie and I absolutely LOVE it. It's so easy to use and once someone buys something, it immediately goes to "sold". Very very easy for inventory tracking, etc.
Cannot WAIT to see you in March! I think I'll probably say that every day until March... hehe! xo
Nice glasses ;) I love your gingham top! I haven't bought a button down top in a long time either. I always seem to have a problem with that one button creating a gap. You know what I mean??
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas decorations are still up... Ugh! I was going to take them down Jan 1.
Good luck with your passport! That process can be annoying.

ReplyDeletejinxed indeed - Sean & I removed all traces of xmas last weekend too. kinda sad to do but also it's over when it's over ya know ; )
the rest of your weekend sounds excellent, cocktails + nibbles with friends is a faved look-forward-too for sure. SOOOOOO, i HAVE to mention something here. ever since Sean & i started dating he's made fun of me for using the words "funnily enough" saying that it's not real language. i've tried to convince him that it is but to no avail. THANK YOU for using this terminology, you better believe i'll be bringing this up with the man and now you've provided me with further validation. cheers lades, you rock!
best of lucks with the passport stuff and congrats again on the new store. so excited for you!!! can't wait for the debut. xoox ♥
