Wow, we took these photos lightning fast! Don't be fooled by my calmness, it was absolutely freezing out, but rest assured I had a nice coat to bundle in to once our shoot was over. This week, hubs & I have been busy little bees. Martin is working on getting his masters of education in fine arts (yay, so happy for him!) and I've been keeping my hands full with way too many projects. But no whining here, it's completely self-inflicted! ;)
I wore this just a few days ago when Martin & I had a little lunch date. I felt like it was such a different look for me, which is exactly what I needed. Sometimes it's so nice to break out of the norm and try something different, isn't it?! On this particular day, I stood in front of my closet with the same outfit variation playing in my head: bowler hat & dress ...so I decided to challenge myself and think up something different. Voila!
I'm excited to be putting a new feature together for the blog. I absolutely love, love to cook - so I thought I would periodically share some of my favourite vegetarian dishes with you guys. Any cooking fans out there? For me, it's such a great way to decompress after a long day. I can usually be found hanging out in my kitchen with a glass of wine, chopping & sauteing, and playing my fave music. I'm a happy homebody, that's for sure! xo

Aww you look so pretty! I love how you have your hair.
ReplyDeleteI would love reading some vegetarian recipes. I was vegetarian for 2 years and then one day I had to watch a Pittsburgh Steelers game at the only place in town that had NFL Sunday Ticket (ok I'm a huge Steelers fan, lol) and I was starving and all they had was meat and I did not want just a salad, so I had a burger and it was so good :( I still don't eat meat very often, but I do occasionally and it's never at home. Alright, enough rambling!

i think your fashion risk was well done! hello audrey. i'm a vegetarian, & i like the dishes my husband cooks. does that count, veronika?

ReplyDeleteThis is an adorable outfit. I love the tights! :)
I love your hair like that Veronika! And I can't wait for some new vegetarian recipes... I'm a fairly new vegetarian and still in that "what should i cook without meat that my husband will like phase"!
ReplyDeleteCan I just stare at this outfit and drool over it?? It's absolutely charming!! Been quite envious of your polka dot tights :) Can't wait to see your recipes and photographed dishes!
ReplyDeleteCheers
As always, I am very smitten with your outfit, but what really caught my eye in these photos was your hair style! I'm so used to your trademark long, smooth and gorgeous tresses, the updo was a huge surprise - and it looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what kitchen treats you'll be featuring... As you my have guessed baked on Ian's baking, I am not the cook in the house, but I am an expert at picking recipes and subtly suggesting that Ian make them ;) I'm sure you'll have some gems that will make me want to do exactly that.

What a great outfit & still so "you". That skirt is very pretty, it's the perfect length. I always find it so difficult to find pretty skirts that aren't too short (in my opinion) and I really like this one. I am sure you'll be able to put together so many beautiful outfits with this piece (throughout all the seasons)!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read some of your food posts. I am not a cook myself, but I do like to eat ;-) Plus I am not a big fan of meat, so vegetarian recipes are always welcome.

I'm definitely a homebody and love cooking. Can't wait to see what recipes you're going to share. I am really loving this outfit. You're right - it's so different from your norm but it really suits you very nicely. I would love to have a cardigan like that. I have a few with a similar hemline to that but they're way too long and don't fit flatteringly. These shorter versions would be a fantastic solution for me. Your tights are super cute as well!
ReplyDeleteLove these polka dot tights with the floral print scarf! Feel like the ywere made for each other. You have the most adorable style and great aesthetic/taste...excited to be following you!

I always get into a style rut in the winter...since it's so cold I get a little afraid of trying new looks and just stick to my trusty jeans - but I really really want to change that. This outfit is great inspiration...I love your sweater and the bun too (to be really honest, I'm a little jealous of it, I can't get my hair into a bun that lasts...it always comes undone so quickly!! :P)
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited to see the recipes you're making, this year I'm determined to incorporate more vegetarian/vegan (read: healthy) meals into my diet and I'm sure your posts will be very helpful!
