Look Book: Polka Dots & Green Bows

Jul 5, 2012

Blame it on my week-long Mad Men marathon, but lately I've been so inspired by a more retro aesthetic. And this new polka dot pencil skirt is absolutely my new favourite closet staple... hmm, I say that about a lot of my skirts. ;) I recently wore this polka dot number for a casual dinner date with my hubby & styled it with: my denim jacket, black silk cami + hot pink strappy sandals. Yup, I love this skirt!
This week has been a pretty quiet one. I've been feeling a little under the weather health wise. I'm not sure what's going on... maybe some kind of food allergy?! I'm seeing my doctor about it early next week. So, it's been a lot of extra movies, soup & toast and afternoon cuddle sessions with my pets. This weekend, it's supposed to be super beautiful + hot out, so fingers crossed for an afternoon picnic... if we do go, I'll be sure to take some cute photos to share with you guys early next week!!

Outfit Details:
Blouse - c/o Lulu*s

Hope you guys enjoyed an amazing 4th of July!!

Lots of love,

  22. It doesn't matter what is causing it, I am loving your new found retro inspiration. How adorable is that polkadot pencil skirt?! I definitely see a 1950s vibe but I have to say, I think there is also something thoroughly modern about a woman who knows the comfort of jeans and t-shirts, but still choose to go for a more put together ensemble :) Sorry to hear you've been feeling under the weather but at least the glorious sun is finally out! Maybe you've just been deprived of vitamin D for too long? ;)
