After what felt like an insanely long winter, this warm (actually hot!) weather has turned me into a grinning fool. Seriously, this past winter couldn’t end fast enough. It seemed to drag on forever, and taking outfit photos when it’s freezing out?! Really, not that fun. However, when we were taking these photos, I kept shouting to Martin: “I’m so warm, isn’t this amazing?! This is the most beautiful day ever. Ah, I love being outside!!” Yup, a grinning & apparently babbling fool. ;)
For this look, I really liked mixing my new plaid shirt with a bold stripe. I’m kind of living in both patterns lately. And speaking of plaid, I’m eying this adorable dress from ModCloth, which I thought would be absolutely perfect for a beach date this upcoming summer. Martin & I are planning to do a day trip over to Crescent Beach in the next couple of weeks. Hooray, I’m pretty excited about that - it's stunning there!
Aside from getting through a huge pile of work & finishing up our pesky taxes... come on Friday! Martin & I are treating ourselves to a stay-cation this weekend. We haven't had a weekend off together in an embarrassingly long time: there will be lots of barbecuing, napping, afternoon wine drinking, excessive pet cuddling and we’ll probably end it all off with a dip in our hot tub - you know, all the important stuff! xo veronika
