Weekend Adventures & A New Dress....

Hey guys! Haha, yes it's over-the-weekend candid me!! Hubs and I decided to mix it up and do more of a candid take on my usual outfit post. I couldn't be more thrilled with how the pictures turned out. It's something that I hope to do a little more often this summer. Yay, let the warm weather fun begin...
On Saturday, hubs, pooch & I headed over to our favourite historic town, just minutes from our home. It was so lovely to be there. We've lived in our community for two years now, and (oops) this is my second time going there ...I know, shame on me! I seriously work way too much!! But as you can tell by my smile, I was beyond ecstatic to have the afternoon off.
This lovely dress is a recent Joe Fresh purchase and caught my eye immediately! It's [seriously] so comfy that I felt like I was strolling around in my pajamas, and I just adore the colour!! As for my necklace? It's a piece that I recently made. I love the sweet little hand-painted stoneware pendant -SO cute! And of course I wore my "comfy & trusty" ballet slippers; perfect for an afternoon stroll!

    I love dresses that feel as comfy as pajamas but look fabulous...just like this one! Love the shape and color of the dress too. And pictures are just lovely!

    I always love the sense of fun you bring to posed photos, but these candid shots are even better, because we get a real sense of the joyful woman you are in person :) Your dress looks so easy and fun- the perfect pick for a summer day- not to mention that the colour could not flatter your skintone anymore perfectly!

    I have to ask about pooch, because I admire his fuzziness every time he appears in your photos. What breed is he? He seems like the perfect mix of not too big but not too small doggy fun that is much needed for apartment living :)

    Cute dress! It looks as comfortable as you say it is ; ) I went to Superstore this weekend and I picked up a hat and some capri pants. It took a lot for me not to purchase 5 or 6 things! Their Spring/Summer line is so cute, hey?

    Plus I'm a little obsessed with the color of your dress- you wear it so well. And I totally get the whole working wayyyy too much thing... it's important to take breaks, especially with the summer weather being as lovely as it is (well a little hot in Arizona, but you know what I mean!)

    I have that dress in purple and love it! I feel it shows a little too much cleavage for day wear (at least on me, which is surprising because I am quite small chested) but with a little cami or bandeau it is just perfect! Love to see how someone else wears it!
