City Loafing & Coloured Tights

You know you’ve made it to the big time when the “cool cats” are reading your blog! Speaking of reading my blog, I just wanted to say a big fuzzy THANK YOU for being such wonderful readers. I love reading your comments and getting to know you. And since I can’t invite everyone over for a home cooked meal, I thought I would do a giveaway in the next few weeks. So stay tuned. I “heart” you guys!

Apparently, I am also a city loafer, which entails drinking coffee, browsing bookstores, and buying yummy cookies at the bakery (PS husband, I ate yours on the way home). I decided on this outfit, which is a delightful break from my usual go-to jeans look. Do you guys have that constant go-to outfit? I thought so, but that’s okay, so do I! Case in point, when I was getting dressed today, I reached for my jeans but my far too opinionated “closet” gave me that scolding look, again! However, sometimes you have to outsmart those that know you the best. So my tip today? Swap it out! You just might surprise yourself and your far too vocal closet! xx veronika

    My winter go to is a black turtleneck sweater dress (...yawn!). I'm really inspired by your lighter skirt, seems like I never dare white/cream bottons in the winter, yet they would complement the scenery :)

    Love your outfit! Happy to have inspired you, I'm really curious to see if and how you're going to use the dusky pink in your home;) Oh and about the constant to-go outfit: the last couple of weeks I have use those way too often because of crazy studysessions and the cold. But you're right, I should try to dress smarter;)

    Ahhh you are so adorable!! I love the skirt matched with the leather jacket. The little kitten that was photo shopped is hilarious. My cat always tries to get in my pictures when I'm inside.

    Oh and bangs have never looked so good on someone. I love them on you!

    This is the perfect outfit for a casual concert or pub night. I agree that I try to tell girls that wearing tights and a skirt can be just as comfortable has jeans! PS you totally make me miss having bangs, your hair is awesome xo

    I *love* the kitty. What an awesome picture! My go to outfits usually consist of leggings and cardigans. Stretchy and comfortable!

    I tried to pick the one thing about your outfit that I love the most, and I simply can't! It just goes so well together and every piece is my favorite!

    I love all the color blocking the layers gives you :) Very pulled together, and stunning look!

    You'll find that the farther you dive into this blogging world that you'll start becoming more adventurous with your wardrobe- which will put that judgmental closet of yours at ease :) I used to be a jeans all the time girl as well, but I've found my self wearing them less and less as time goes on. They're still a must have for any closet, but I now consider them an option as opposed to my fashion "crutch"

    loving that skirt. I also definitely agree about the colored tights and textured scarf. Alas the weather here is different than literally 95% of the country, so I am always dressed in different temperature style clothes than everyone else. Soon we will all be in sweltering heat though... right?
