Look Book: Swapped Dresses & Lovely Fall Hues!

It's official! Fall is in the air and I couldn't be more thrilled! I'm absolutely loving the mild weather, and I'm excitedly welcoming layers back into my life: tights, scarves, cardigans -yes please!! The evenings have been so splendid... we've enjoyed the most vivid sunsets, the air is cool & crisp, and the smell of wood burning fireplaces is everywhere! I'm loving the change of season. Next on the list? Making loads of yummy potato & yam stews. Don't you guys just love fall?!

I absolutely adore this dress and loved styling it up over the weekend. It's from my most recent blogger swap and belongs to the gorgeous Cara of "A Fashion Love Affair" -you can see how she styled it here: "Prints Please." Swapping clothes has got to be the most brilliant idea, ever! It's such a great way to try new styes, and I love the challenge of styling someone else's items & making them feel like my own. I'll be featuring several more swapped goodies over the next few weeks; plus, I'll be sharing pics from the swap later this week...

Oh my goodness *sigh* I've been so tired lately, guys. Did anyone see my tweet yesterday? I was up at 4:30 AM, which is so crazy!! I can't quite seem to sleep more than 5 hours lately. Yikes! The only upside to me being this tired, is that my sense of humor is on fire. I'm zany & funny, and my hubby can't stop laughing. So thankfully, it's not all bad. ;-)

    the "DIBS" call sure paid off with this Navajo treasure!! put together with your JC's, bowler and grey tights is sheer superability! the way you whip these looks together so successfully plus your sweet nature absolutely radiates off the screen.

    the first day i put tights back on i kinda did a happy dance myself. lades, the sleep thing though, what's up with that? gosh, 4:30am??? nutso-bonks is what, Martin needs to start singing you lullaby's or something. but i do agree, your sense of humor is hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of July! getting to spend some time together the other weekend only emphasized that fact in stone. when i'm sleep deprived the opposite happens and it's just a wet week of soggy Lynn lumps ; )

    Oh my goodness. I want your shoes. Where did you get them?? I have a pair nearly identical from Target. I got them in the spring and wore them nearly every day all spring + summer. Now they are falling apart and I was positively heart broken! I need a replacement pair!

    Aside from that I love this outfit. The dress is lovely and your tights are gorgeous! And I love your bowler hat (I'm such a fan of those hats!). <3

    I really really love the print on this dress!!! I hope I find something similar when I go off on one of my thrifting trips again, so far it's been good, I keep on wanting to go back for more finds!

    My body did that to me too, only 4 hours of sleep. I don't know why, it was totally content with 4 hours, which wasn't very good cause I was all loopy all day. I don't even know how I got work done at the end of the day. But that all washed away, I guess when our body clock gets used to a routine it just refuses to go back. Mine has finally stabilized, now it's 6 hours...which isn't so bad :D

    Comfort food is back in menu and I like crazy [ haha!] are cooking and baking some new and some forgotten recipes, but I think it's just joy of season after crappy Summer in Ireland. It seemed so weird at Summer time to start layering, but now it's exciting.

I've been coveting that color in a pair of tights for so long and seeing them paired with those perfect shoes? I kind of want to drop a lot of money on tights and Jeffery Campbell right now.
